Waste Removal

Controlled Waste Regulations 1991

Regulation 3 of the Controlled Waste Regulations 1991 (Registration of Carriers and Seizure of Vehicles) controls the tranportation of waste.

James is a registered waste carrier, registration number CB/NM3651YG. In order to comply with government regulations, you will be required to complete a Waste Transfer Note if you want James to take waste from your property.

Transporting Waste

If someone transports your waste that person or company removing or transporting your waste must be a registered waste carrier and authorised to take your waste.

How to check if someone is a Registered Waste Carrier

• Check the Environment Agency Public Registers
• Telephone the Environment Agency 0845 603 3113
• Ask the person or company to show you their waste carriers registration certificate.

Sub contracting

James is registered under the HMRC Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) for work as a subcontractor if required.
